A note on contacting me via email. I strongly prefer to be contacted via 'real' email addresses (e.g. .edu, .ac.uk, .com, etc) and not gmail, hotmail or yahoo. I receive a lot of unsolicited emails , which I am generally happy to respond to, but many have no indication of the source other than an unfamiliar name. Sending me an email from an educational account dramatically increases the chances of a timely response.
